The Best Valentine's Day Present Ever!

Yes I know it's not Valentine's day, but I've only shared with the Facebook World my latest craze!  My husband may not be the most romantic person, but that's ok because I get what I want and not what he thinks he should get me.  I've been wanting a sewing machine for awhile and had planned on getting myself one for my birthday until I ended up in the hospital.  Anyway he decided (with a little help from Taylor) to get me the sewing machine for Valentine's day.

It got her in time for pledge drive so I haven't had a lot of time to play.  Since pledge has ended I've made a few things.  I'm working my way up to a quilt which is what I wanted the machine for in the first place.

Here are a few things we've been making...

This is the first paper piecing from a free pattern from Sewhooked.

This is the second set of paper pieced hearts I made.

This is a chicken pin cushion that Taylor and I made together.  I think it's so cute!

Taylor made this bag for her friends birthday.

This is a soft cover I made for my friend's birthday.  I was waiting to put up a picture until I sent it to her so it hasn't made it to Facebook yet.

This cute little dress I made for Taylor for her something green on St. Patrick's Day.

My friends daughter is crazy about Duck Dynasty so when I found this pink duck material I just had to have it!  I love the way the bag looks with the black bag I made with it.  The inside lining was made out of pink too.

This is a little peep I've made for Easter.

This is a hot pad I made tonight. It's the Amish Folded Star pattern.  It's a bit wonky but it's my first try.

Well that's it for tonight.  I'm off to bed.
